Curious, where are you guys gettin the JCW ? Ive checked all the NJ dealers and no one seems to have a new JCW... unless its a Clubman

 

John is looking at a 2007 JCW with 9,000 miles on it... but we have to see if they will meet our deal or not. In the mean time if he can sell the GP before we trade... then good for us. He wants a fast but more comfortable riding MINI now that he works farther from home.

 

Hmmmm. Prestige told me the extended maintenance was non-transferrable which is why I didn't buy it. Where'd you get yours?

 

"Prestige" Hummm they just told us it was... except the Tire/Rim insurance is not tranferrable because we've made claims on it but I'm going to call that company also to make sure.

 

Checked out the extended maintenance contract and it says it IS transferable with the car right on it. Also apparently our Tire/Rim insurance (which includes rim refinishing in case of rim rash) is also transferable as long as you pay $50.00 for a refiling fee but you can not transfer it to a dealer. Private sale only. Even better that we can add the Tire/Rim with the sale. Trust me you would want to pay a mere $50 bucks for that.

 

Apparently some of the cars in the lot at Prestige were burglerized last weekend and they stole all the carbon fiber off the JCW including the spoiler! They even took stuff off customer cars...

We didn't get the deal we were looking for so we didn't buy the JCW & he's keeping the GP. I told him just get a used S for the winter, but I don't know yet if he will. When he really thought about it he would rather keep the GP as it's the still most exciting JCW to have!
