AFTERMARKET BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS/BRAKE LINES

i am looking to replace my pads and rotors, i have found discussions on pads but not on rotors, i have an 09 mcs, will either go with hawk or aekebono pads, but unsure of rotors, my front pads were replaced under warranty but my rears are do and i want to keep everything consistent front to rear, so i want to replace everything including brake lines if possible, what is the best setup to go to pads/rotors/ and stainless lines?

What do you want to do with the car?

i do all street driving, no track or autocross, but i do mod my car so i am looking for some performance over stock, im looking at either ate or stoptech rotors from helix, and either nm engineering or helix's break lines. as far as pads now im between mintex, hawk or the aekebo pads. i would like a lower dust pad over the oem ones, my wheels are anchorite but still get to dirty

With street driving and a R56 MCS, you could stay with stock rotors without issues. Unless you like the look of something different. The same with ss brake lines. For the street, it is mostly for looks.

Pads are quite important. Some street ones can be a lot less dusty and last much longer than stock. Try looking at the Carbotech CT1521 as well.

I SAW A THREAD ON THE CARBOTECH PADS BUT IDK IM DEBATING NOW IF I SHOULD JUST GO STOCK FOR NOW UN-TILL I GET MONEY TO REPLACE EVERYTHING, I JUST LIKE TO REPLACE OEM PARTS FOR BETTER PARTS I ALSO DO NOT FEEL LIKE SPENDING AN ARM AND A LEG FOR JUST PADS WHEN IM NOT DOING ANYTHING MAJOR WITH THE CAR

It would be nice if you take the caps off.

I've had Carbotech 1521 Bobcat pads on for about 11,000 miles. They make a big difference in brake modulation, and put out almost no dust. They are supposed to last longer than OEM, and be easier on rotors. So, the extra cost of the pads may be made up for by the increased lifespan of the rotors and pads. For street, pads are the only change you need to make for a significant improvement.

If you are not getting brake failure, Just change the rear pads and call it a day. Then when both pads wear out change both pads to a less dusty pad. Or just get less dusty pads all around. No need for other mods unless you get severe brake fade obtained by track use.

Shop around. I paid about $225 for those pads w/ free shipping. Took awhile though as the first 2 places I ordered them from canceled saying they were on back order! The rotors I got from Autozone for $35 each. Since the MINI stays on the streets, they should be fine.

So far so good with the pads themselves. Less initial bit as others mentioned, but give it enough pressure and they will grab really well. Can't say much on the dusting yet as my wheels are still dirty from my previous pads.
