My bluetooth in my car is not working properly. I have the volume button all of the way up while on calls. I can barely hear when I get a call, and the other person can barely hear me. I have the auxillary volume up, S-volume up, and volume up on my blackberry. What could be the problem. Its worthless, as I cannot even use it for calls. Any suggestions, besides calling the dealer.

The only thing I can suggest is actually turning the car stereo volume up when you are dialing the call before it connects and see if that helps. I think thats how you are actually supposed to increase the bluetooth volume.

I have tried that. It does not work. Let me give you more info. My radio did not work in my car when the car was brand new. Turned out to be a bad wiring harness for the radio. It was replaced and everything seemed fine. But, I believe since then that I have my bluetooth volume issue. Before my radio was fixed the blue tooth worked amazing. It was so loud on calls that I had to turn the volume way down. My CD, ipod and bluetooth worked, but the AM and FM radio were all static, no reception period. Since the fix, it seems like that is the time when the bluetooth volume is gone.

turn up the volume for bluetooth connections on your phone. I know on the iPhone, I had to connect it, then make a call and turn the bluetooth volume up to max on the phone itself. Now all calls are audible and are downright loud.

edit: i missed where you said you had already done this on your blackberry. Sounds like a dealer issue now.

Just to let you know, S-Vol and AUX Vol have no effect on the Bluetooth Volume except that the S-Vol will increase the volume of the normal volume with speed. I.E. if the S-Vol is set to zero or to six it only matters if the MAIN volume is turned up. AUX volume only works for the AUX input.

Also of note is that the Buletooth Volume can ONLY be adjusted while someone is actually speaking to you. If they are not speaking to you the volume **** will not respond. So get a friend or relative with a cell phone to call you while standing near the car and have them continue to talk while you adjust the volume in the car using the volume ****.

If this does not work and your phone "bluetooth volume" is turned all the way up then it is time to head for the dealer.

Thanks for all the good tips, unfortunately I have tried all of these. My blackberry bluetooth volume is all the way up, I turn the volume all the way up while on the bluetooth in the car, and you can still barely hear anything. It has to be another radio electrical issue with my car. Off to the dealer for the 5th time!

Have you tired adjusting the volume when someone is talking to you?

Adjusting the volume when just connected to the bluetooth WILL NOT WORK,

someone MUST BE SPEAKING TO YOU for the volume to be adjusted.

Schatzy62, as I said before, I had a non working radio when I got the car. No AM, no FM, but CD, ipod and bluetooth worked. Calls were clear and LOUD. Since the new wiring harness, which fixed my radio, now my bluetooth does not work. Yes, I have tried it all, of course I turn up the volume when on calls, it does not work. It is not my blackberry, as I also have an iphone connected to my bluetooth with the same problem. And in my other car the bluetooth is loud and clear with both my phones. It is a problem with my mini, another related electrical problem. Dealer will check it out next thursday. Thanks for your help anyway.
