Intercooler

I'm looking at two intercoolers for my 07 MCS. The Helix, and Forge. Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with these? Which one is easier to install? Is it worth it? Thanks for your help.

Jorge, I have the Helix IC on my 07 and Umberto has the Helix IC on his 09 JCW Factory MINI.

We both noted improved performance, cooler ambiant temps thus you can pull harder and longer.

Helix is now making some changes to the IC, they have a current group buy at the old price that applies to the new design before a price increase.

Forge is good too from what folks have been saying.

Alta is ok, but you need to do some trimming, the Helix is a no mess install.

The majority of us on NAM that have swapped out the stock intercooler for a larger aftermarket intercooler have gone with the Helix intercooler. I have it in my 09 JCW. It was installed by Ralph at Helix in Philly in January of 2010. I am very happy with the product and the install work that Helix has done.

There is a group buy going on now in this thread.

I agree with this statement made by old81:
