I-59 North Travel Bulletin
If you are going up I-59, there is a section just north of Gadsden
AL (Attalla to Collinsville) where the road is 1 bumpy narrow lane for 22 uninterrupted miles. I took the detour (for loads over 12' wide) yesterday and it is MUCH better - scenic, smooth, and faster than that part of I-59.

Two weeks ago we drove to Knoxville in the Clubman and that stretch was really bad plus it was raining. I think the southbound side was rougher than the northbound. Looks like it's going to be that way for a long time.

Never have liked that section. That section of road caused the tire alert light to come on. Stopped and checked and all was fine.
