Suspension What kind of longevity can one expect out of cheaper coilovers?

What kind of longevity can one expect out of cheaper coilovers?

So I'm going to be taking my car to the shop soon because I've got a noise in the suspension that I just can't fix. So in the event that I need new struts, I'm preparing myself.

I'd really like a set of coilovers so I can dial in my ride height, and set the damping to where I want it, and get camber adjustment to boot. I wouldn't want to spend any more than $1000, which of course is cheap as dirt for CO's. I would really have my eye on something like the Megans or BC's. People here seem to be pretty happy with them, but I'm worried about longevity of the shock itself, due to the fact that it's a cheaper product. How often would these need rebuilds?

In the event that I decide to go just with struts/springs, I'll probably be picking up the H&R Touring Cup kit and some camber plates.

Bump- I know people here have BC's and Megans. How many miles have you gotten out of them so far?

I have two years on the BCs now, that's gotta be north of 20k miles, but I've been garaging it in the winter now. I've been curious as to how long they'll go before needing rebuilds. They still feel good, but it's hard to be objective. I remember ride quality definitely improved coming from lowering springs + other mods. Pretty travel-impaired car to begin with.

Yeah my ride is awful. Anything would be better. Where did you get your BC's from RedSkunk?
