need some help on which tires to buy for my rims.

im planning purchacing these ALTA rims, http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...279_Wheel.html

now i need help on chosing the right tire for them. i really dont know much about tires and would be thankful for any advice and help. Which tire size would be better? 215/45 R17 or 205/45 R17.

Personally Id run the 205 if I had to pick between those 2 sizes

Most people are gonna tell you to get the 215 tho

Johnny is right, there are probably more 215's than 205's now. On a 7.5" rim, I'd be going with 215/45/17. I just put new rims (17 x 7) and tires (215/45/17) on my car. I like the look and feel of the 215's much better, jmo.

For a 17x7.5 with a 35 offset I would play it safe and definetly get a 215/40-17 tire, just to make sure I don't rub outter edge.

The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel, usually measured in millimeters.

Don't think Alta makes wheels, they maybe called just ALT.
