And all I can say is WOW.

This is from the 11/16/03 episode. The BBR MCS is just brilliant! Oh my...and of course, in pure Top Gear fashion, they just HAVE to throw it all over their airfield.

Final assumption was that the Works MINI was the best of the bunch from a total review perspective, however they were really impressed with the BBR MINI.

"I'm starting to feel like I've hit the limit of what this car can actually handle"

Thanks for the exciting news. Can anyone tape this episode for the rest of us and convert it to quicktime???

Anyway, surely 250-275 HP would give enough power to launch the MINI more than strongly.
For the MINI to do it's best you'd have to be careful about balancing out that power with other mods to enhance driveability and maybe even go into stealth mode with an exhaust and header combination that allowed some power but also just a bit of exhaust note rather than the super loud approach. So instead of loud and fast could we look forward to quiet and fast. Now that is an idea.

I have the full episode in windows media format (it's about 200 MB). I have a server I can host it on but with a file of that size, it wouldn't take many downloads before I'd go over my bandwidth limit.

Anyone here have some bandwidth they can spare?

The BBR MINI (of which I had not heard of until now) has a full upgrade on the varios parts you describe Minihune. The best part to me is that it still looks like the MCS - they didn't touch the body design. Almost a sleeper look and yet around a track it timed out to be about 5 or 6 seconds faster than the WORKS MINI!

I can picture Jeremy Clarkson's ear to ear grin as he lights up the tyres on the BBR MCS.

"Ah, now this is what BMW had in mind when they built the new MINI."

Let us know where we can see a copy of the segment.

WOW

What is under the hood of the BBR?
I want to know more about it.
What was the 0-60 times?
1/4 Mile times?
Can we get it here in the US?

Thanks for that. That was the best MINI info on here in months.

I can't believe they kept the 25lb wheels on the BBR.

Awesome. Thanks for posting.

The BBR looks incredible and would surely be a blast to drive. Hey, when is Randy at Webb-Motorsports. going to do an equivalent? Sign me up.

BBR is asking *<gulp>* 15,000 POUNDS (including labor) for that 275 kit. The Works MINI in the UK is about 18,500 pounds. We're talking about the price of another complete car WITH mods. No thanks, BBR.

I have to say, that is a pretty great episode. It had my favorite cars (Lamborghini and MINI) in one episode! Excellent. As the one guy was saying, the idea of driving a Lamborghini is more satisfying that actually driving one. I remember having a pin up of the Countach on my wall as well, but now, I'll let the memories take over instead of actually buying a used one. But the Murcielago has got my vote for the sexiest Lamborghini.

Oh, and of course, that BBR Cooper S was crazy. Does anyone know if they adjusted the suspension to handle all that extra power, because it sure didn't seem like it the way it was rocking on the tarmac there.
