There are "lift blocks" underneath the car so there should be no worries! Take a look and they should be fairly obvious. Two on each side.

OK, you would know as I have never had to lift the car !

I bought a jack pad to use with my floor jack, so I thought something had to be inside those 4 points when it was lifted all at once. Thanks !

Most shops have lifts that can lift a Mini...I have found a shop or two localy that does not have the ability to lift a mini...so they just use a floor Jack....no worries.

I used to laugh at people trying to get a jack on my eclipse (lowered, settled springs gave it about 4" clearance)

if the mechanics start looking at the car funny, tell them to use a jack like others have said and either way make sure they don't use the softer portions of the rocker panels... had a shop destroy one side of my car as it started to rust out. "Lift on the damn frame" I have to tell most places...

I cringe each time I have taken my MINIs to have their tires rotated at the local Discount Tires. It is a flat lift that lifts the entire vehicle. They tell me not to worry but I still do.

At least they have deep pockets should anything go wrong. The true nail-biting occurs at Joe's Tires and Gun Racks.
