I need help from the experts. I have a '75 and have made cardboard dash supports and installed a new vinyl dash cover. Now it's time for the dash cards that go on either side of the 3 gauge center binnacle, but I have some questions-

Does the center binnacle have to come out to install the cards?

I was told that water should be misted on the backs of the cards to get them pliable for installation. True?

There's a score mark to fold each card. Does it get folded toward the firewall or toward the passenger compartment?

Other helpful hints?

The center binnacle does not have to come out. The side pieces are folded towards the interior of the car - at least that is how I installed mine and it looks and fits fine. I did not mist the cards. I did cup them - bend top towards bottom to get them over the front edge of the dash as I installed them. It takes some juggling around to get them in; however, without side vents I think it would be easier.

only if your center binacle has 4 self tappers in front then they fit behind this type if you have the later type binacle like this.......


then you need to fit them afterwards...........
