i have the same problem..im planning on taping off the wheel and plasti-dipping the ring. i figure the rubber adhesive should be flexible enough for the material and shoul last assuming i dont mess with it. i'l let you know how it goes and possible snap some shots of the process

I had same issue. Previous owner must have been rather portly, and when he grabbed the seatbelt pullling it around, he would ding the ring with the metal buckle.....

I just picked up an updated ( used ) three spoke wheel and airbag......because finding a used air bag in great shape for the two spoke wheel was like looking for a unicorn.

Lyle from Vinyl Styles sells a vinyl piece for that air bag ring part. But you would have to fill those dings some how before applying the decal or painting it.

i dont have any dings really. i think the previous owner tried to take out the center mini emblem and by doing so he cracked the silver painted ring in numerous areas. i plan on replacing that emblem and painting the ring. he somehow managed to dent and pretty much destroy that emblem so its a must that i do it

The only time my center ring got any damage was when my older sister was driving my car years ago for some reason and went to use the horn. She smashed the center of the wheel and nothing happened. I rather like the horn being a precise button used to alert others, and not some kind of anger smashing thing.

I dented my logo with my elbow on accident. I ordered a replacement insert from Aesthetic Creations but I haven't got it yet. Other than something like that you have to replace the entire airbag.

think i may have to drop lyle an email then!
was toying with the idea of just replacing my steering wheel with a wooden one, old school style, but the boss's are really quite expensive and i can't find one just by itself without a ricer steering wheel attached to it

I had a dented logo when I bought the car and the silver ring was all kids of dinged and scratched. I ordered A new logo'd center from AC and before I put it on pulled the air bag and repainted the silver ring to match the rest of my dash.
