Will the exhaust from my 2002 R50 fit all other R50 model years, or where there changes made that would make it impossible or impractical to install on more recent R50's? I am referring to the exhaust system from the catalytic converter on back. Thanks in advance for any help!

 

There are no recent R50's. The 2nd gen is a R56 as well just not a "S". But to answer your question. the hook up at the headers I believe is different, the R50(1st gen) is a bolt on flange and the R56(2nd gen non s) has a v-ring clamp that hooks up the exhaust piping to the header flange. Also I believe that they also are different in how long the piping is, and as well as where the headers are. the R50 I believe comes down from the engine from behind and the R56 non s comes down from the engine from the front. I've asked this question many of times to companies that sell the R50 exhaust and I am always told it wouldnt work but never a actual reason. Only thing I can suggest is try it and let us know.
