I do hate the HK audio system though. I'll probably be posting soon to get some advice on replacing it!

Don't like the HK audio? Should be easy to sell in the Marketplace considering the number of the post that couldn't wait for its availability.

 

Congrats and welcome. Hating the HK system is a new one I always thought it sounded much better that the stock audio system. You should be able to fetch a good price for the HK amplifier since they are notorious for going bad.

 

Yep, bone stock. 2006 S convertible (R52?). Grey w/ black stripes on the hood, black leather interior.

Funny that people like the sound of the HK. I think the bass is flubby and the midrange is pretty distorted. Good thoughts on the marketplace.

My first order of business will be to put a decent audio system in there. I'm thinking of the Alpine idx-305s w/ a nice set of component speakers up front and maybe a small sub in the back.

I'd consider modding for more power, but might wait until the warranty expires (got a great deal from the dealer w/ the extended coverage) unless there's something I can do that won't void it. Maybe a unichip or sprintbooster?
