Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
I just drove home and noticed a light appear on the large speedometer in the center of the dash. A small green light illuminating what appears as a clock face, or maybe some other dial pointing to 11 O'clock. Any idea what this means?
I just looked up that light in the owner's manual and it states that it is the arming indicator for the driver ejection seat.
I know I should not reveal this, but I know we can all trust NAM members, you may be right. I said I was driving home, but I didn't say I was driving home from a secrete mission. Before I left, I left my lil guy with "M" for some special mods. I was on such an urgent mission I wasn't fully briefed on what they did. I needed to be dispatched ASAP. You may be correct, it can be the ejection seat armiming alert light, I'll check with "M". Thanks for your help.
Boy do I feel like a dummy. You folks are correct, I must have accidently pressed the cruise control button. I also spoke to "M" who informed me they NEVER add an ejection mod to a MINI. He said they conducted studies that concluded that MINI owners would never eject from their vehicles, they would rather go down with the ship.
