That is exactly why!! Someone will get lucky getting it if they like the GP.

 

I bet that thing is gone in no time, as soon as someone realizes what it is and has the resources to get it.

 

Yeah wow they have no clue they have it listed with the Cooper Works package and still have it rated at 168HP, sloppy they need to do their homework, but even with their stupidity, $21,000 for an '06, 50k mile Cooper S way to steep!!

 

I'm a noob. What does the GP mean. I know its a John Cooper Works model, but what specifically does the GP mean. Acronyms for noobs are tough. Thanks.

 

GP was a special edition that came out in 2006 and they are individially numbered. They made 2000 worldwide & only 400 were allocated to the US.

 

So the GP doesn't stand for anything? Like "Great Product" or "Gross Price"?

 

Gran Prix, I'd assume. But it might stand for nothing, like the old Mini S. With the new ones, people could argue "supercharged" or "sport" or what have you.

With 50K on the odometer, that price is about right, even for a GP. Have seen them with fewer miles at the same price last year.

$26-27k SEEMS TO BE GOING PRICE.
Seen CarMax do this before, they had an 04 MC40 with JCW210 kit for $13995 in MD.

 

Seriously, GP's prices are dropping. This is the second one I've seen for 21K

 

There was one on eBay last year with only 13.5K miles, sold for $22K.

at least you know the maintinence should be up to date on whoever buys that car. I bought a mini from the white marsh md location and i took it to the mini dealer when i got a bad tank of gas and they showed me the service history and carmax took the car in and got it up to date. then again, i hear stories about them test driving/beating on the sportier cars in thier inventory.

 

What number is it...I might have to go by and check this one out as it's close by...even though I just bought a GP...perhaps I need another one. Hmmm. (Honey, have I told you how pretty you look today and by the way, I was on the computer and saw.....)

 

seems like a good deal... and like they dont know what it is.
