Hi!!! New here from El Monte, CA

Hey guys I'm new to this forum. I was originally from e90post.com and now I'm trying to make my way to NAM.

I am in the process of getting my BMW E92 335i Coupe lemoned because of high pressure fuel pump issues and look to make a transition into a Mini.

Here are various pics of my E92 over time as I changed the look many times. So I hope to do the same to my Mini when I lemon the BMW and buy a new Mini.

By the way...Should I wait for the announcement in March about the 1.4 being replaced with the new 1.6? I read about that on Autoblog a little while back.

That is one great looking BMW. Thats too bad that it is a lemon. I would suggest a JCW for you. Good luck with your BMW and keep us informed.

I've been considering a JCW, but might end up with a MCS. We shall see!

Welcome. I've spent some time in the past on e90post myself.. used to have an '06 330i.

I have a bit of bad news - the HPFP in the Mini fails about as often as it does on the N54, unfortunately. Scour the forum and you'll see plenty of chatter on the topic, including a fair number of sad stories of stealership pushback due to alleged "bad gas" causing the pump to fail.. utter BS in the absence of some sort of clear proof, IMHO.

I don't think worrying about the hpfp is worth scrapping the MINI idea. Yes there have been some comments but I think that the number of complaints is less than 1%.

Oh...well thats promising. I thought I got lucky with my BMW. My first fuel pump went out around 27k miles and things were fine...but then everything just snowballed around 34k miles.

The last thing I need to worry about is taking the car into the dealership to get work on it after getting out of work!
