New Release: BSH R56 Billet Lower Motor Mount

Design Requirements:
When looking at the current motor mount offerings this was a simple decision. Band-aid a stock part with stiffer bushings, or re design it to be a performance part from scratch. Not everyone has the machines and tooling that we do and as such the former seems to be the approach. By recreating the part with performance in mind we have tackled the sloppy factory main bushing, eliminated the soft secondary bushing, and strengthened the part as a whole by creating a new billet case to replace the cost minded factory extrusion.

Designing the part was the first step, keeping it livable however is a completely different task. BSH has spent considerable time in choosing the optimal durometer to enhance the performance and fun aspect of the vehicle without degrading from the everyday usability. The bushings included are provided to BSH by a supplier of bushings to multiple OEM’s. BSH has made available two different durometers, street and race, which can be selected at the time of ordering.
All motor mounts come with a standard military grade hard black anodized finish to give the product the look it deserves and preserve the body against the elements.

What exactly is the difference between the two different versions?

Thank you for your question.

The difference is in the durometer (hardness) of the bushing. The harder the bushing the less it will allow the engine to move but at the same time the more it will increase the amount of feedback into the cabin.

Street is an excellent improvement over stock without much compromise, the race is designed for the person who wants the most performance regardless of vibration.

Most choose street bushings and we recomend street for most street cars.

Hope that helped!

Thanks, that helped! I understand! Street makes the most sense then?

What do you guys mean by "include alternate bushing" in your internet shop?

If you buy the race version you can buy the street bushing to swap it in and out yourself.
