Re-wire door or Not??

Hi Everyone,

for those of you who have replaced the stock speakers and added an amp, did you use the existing wires that run to the speakers (using X9331) or did you rewire the doors with 16 gauge wire?

i think it eliminates a couple of splices. I have an intermittent right side speaker drop-out...and while i am 90% certain it is a 2-way crossover. I removed the XO...but it still could be one of the splices.

I also have a bit of harshness in the vocal range as well as a small amount of siblance in the 7k range....both could be caused by under sized wire....or not.

clifnotes: it eliminates potential shortcomings of the system....plus it allows you to maybe keep your owm wiring closer to "untouched".
