I wanted to relay this message here from my local Sunshine MINIs board... We will be sharing the Dragon with New Beetles. They have their dates scheduled on top of ours on the Tail of the Dragon website. They seem to have been a bit rude to our members who were trying to be friendly and give them a heads-up, however I think the best way to deal with them is to be polite, even if they are not at first. Hopefully we can coexist.

dont sweat it everyone...its not all of the bug owners...we tried to help them out with some advice but some of them took it the wrong way...everything has mellowed out and nothing more is being said about it...so well do our seperate things and just take it as it comes

just everyone keep aware while out there on the dragon and itll come and go without incident

 

That's pretty funny. My other car is a New Beetle turbo drop top. It's not modified at all but it really can't hang with the MINI no matter how hard it tries... I've heard there's a Corvette group on the Dragon that week/weekend as well.

There is also a Corvette club from WV that is at the Dragon during the same weekend every year.

 

The Vettes aren't what I'm worried about. Hopefully the bugs and us can co-exist.

 

The bugs will have to keep up to co-exist!
