Preventitive Maintenance?

My 2002 MCS just turned 85,000 miles, and everything is working perfectly. However, is there anything I should replace or have looked at as a preventative measure? Thinking timing belt, etc.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Check the control arm bushings, they are usually worn out by that mileage.

Check the belt tensioner, the bushings fall apart on them, you can replace them with powerflex bushings, and add a tensioner stop.

Also check the motor mounts aren't worn out.

Upper strut mounts, make sure they're not torn.

if you havent yet, a service of your supercharger would be prudent. they don't hold very much oil, and some were shipped low on oil as well. it takes a special oil. also make sure the power steering fan is not binding up. if your doing the control arm bushings mentioned above, check power steering hoses for starting to leak, as it is really easy to take care of when you drop the subframe to do the control arm bushings.

Thanks for all the advice. Do we have a nylon timing belt that is at risk after a lot of miles?

Thanks

It is indeed a chain. The only thing you have to make sure of is that the tensioner is in good shape, they arent the best peice of kit. Just make sure that when the engine is on you dont here lots of rattling coming from the passenger side of the engine.
