And, it'll be available with all-wheel-drive.

Great news :

The First Five-Passenger Mini
Those extra inches are going to good use, as the 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman's standard rear bucket seats have a 5.1-inch range of fore/aft adjustment. You don't have to be content with a four-seat Mini this time around, though. Order the three-place bench seat at no extra cost and your Mini Countryman will seat five. The bench will adjust fore/aft (albeit in 60/40 sections), and like the bucket seats, its seatback cushions recline.

No secret compartment!?!? Maybe that slide out keyboard will be available like what was rumored a few months back.

Only if you're somewhere outside the US of A. Sorry.
Thanks to US regulations governing rear seat width, MINI will be forced to exclude the rear bench seat option for the US market.

Pretty cool looking car though I'm not completely sold on it yet, especially the nose; it's a bit blount. So far the outside doesn't make me grin like my HT does. The inside looks very cool though. I'll wait to pass full judgement until I see one in person next year.

The blacked out temp controls is slick.

I like the look, wouldn't buy one, but the look is clearly Mini.

Looks ready to roll over in the first curve.

Seems somewhat like bad timing. Just when it appears America's illogical love affair with buying off road type (SUV) vehicles and driving then on the road is coming to an end look what MINI comes out with.

The title "the first five-passenger mini" of this is wrong. The Clubman has had a five (5) seat option since it first came out. It is not available here in North America but it is available in Europe and the British Isles.

Who ever rote this obviously does not know what they are talking about.

Because the Cayanne is wider. It all has to do with the federal law requiring a certain amount of width fore each seat. It just will not fit in a MINI.

Haha, you missed the point of this post. The person was saying that Porsche went out of their realm of vehicle by creating an SUV, so, therefore, why couldn't MINI do it?

They weren't referencing 5 seat vs. 4 seats....

Next step in 2011 change name to MIDI. Starting in 2012 make 4 wheel drive truck and then change name to MAXI.

I like the looks of it more on a second viewing than I did the first time I saw it. But how does it handle? I didn't buy my MINI for its looks.
