As in previous years we have set up a MOTD Flickr group for the photographers
amonst us to have a place to share their photos from the Dragon with fellow motorists.
This photo sharing site has been an extremely successful way of sharing
our memories with fellow motorists and I hope that this year will bring us
more of the same.

MINI's On The Dragon is an annual event that takes place in the mountains
of North Carolina and known simply as The Dragon or Tail Of The Dragon.
The Dragon is a stretch of mountain highway like no other It has 318 curves
in just a little over 11 miles of extremely wooded and scenic two lane road
that borders the Smoky Mountain National Park.
The Dragon begins (or ends depending on how you look at it.) at Deals Gap
in North Carolina and runs up to Tennessee on highway 129.
The focal meeting area is the Fontana Village Resort near Fontana Dam, NC.

If you are attending this years MOTD and would like to share your pictures
