I was wondering if there is an Alabama Motoring Society or Birmingham MINI facebook page. I can't seem to find one.
It might be a great way to connect to other MINIs in the area.
I'm happy to create it if you guys want.

 

I had thought about that, but never followed through. It might actually be more effective in communicating, at least internally among us AMS "insiders", than the AMS web site or NAM forum presences. I'm open to the possibilities. I know there are several of us that have personal FB pages. If you want to start one, go for it and we'll see what happens.

 

I actually found a group called Alabama motoring. It doesn't show up in any of the searches for MINI. There are only 7 members and no posts since July.
Also, on a group you don't get updates, etc like you do for a fan page. Plus you can have multiple moderators on a fan page.
I think I'll start an Alabama MINI (or insert catchy name here)fan page this weekend.
Might be a better way to announce rides, dinners, etc.
I'll post a link here once it's up!

 

That group you found, Alabama Motoring IS us! I had forgotten it existed, or never knew. My suggestion would be to not open another, but if the existing one needs to be changed to be more functional, then we should do so.

That would be way more effective, I think, at least for me. I check facebook multiple times a day. I'll look for it!
