I looked for a good used small car for a few months, either a civic hatch or mini. About a month ago I decided to hit the "buy it now" on a used '04 MCS with manual transmission, and 67,000 miles. So far all is good. It felt like a good machine on my first drive, and I had a mechanic check it out and he just said I did good.

The best part was our 2 yr old loves it. "Can we take the mini cooper?" is a common phrase.

It only came with one key, but the title paperwork had the prior owner's address, so I mailed him a letter with my e-mail. He still had the spare key So, I sent a check and he sent the key. He also told me a few other things about the car which was reassuring. It seems well maintained, pretty good tires and brakes are in good shape. It did need a new battery, and a couple other small parts, but nothing major. The battery was the original, so it was just time.

Congrats on the buy! Welcome to the MINI family! We have 2 MINIs, my '06 MCS coupe and my wife's '07 cabrio. We bought out 8 month old his very own electric MINI (comes with a remote so we can control his ride)...so I guess we are actually a 3 MINI family.
