Window Tint Shop

Hey fellow St. Louis MINI enthusiasts. I want to get my windows tinted but honestly don't know where to go. Has anyone had their windows tinted around town? Also, I do live on the Illinois side of the river, but I never complain about a nice drive in the MINI so anywhere around the area would do. Thanks.

Clear Auto Bra,LLC (ultrashieldofstl.com) would be my choice. He has applied tint to my MINI, my Jeep and my dad's Cad - Excellent job!
I too live in IL and the 2 hour drive was well worth it!

Call Mark up (he's even a MINI owner) 314-518-6111

Best stuff is VistaLlumar @ Dalo Glass Tinting @ 6258 Lemay Ferry Road. Their stuff is far superior to 3M.

I will second Clear Auto Bra, LLC

Mark is a craftsmen who really cares about his work, you can't go wrong. And he is a MINI guy, what more can I say.

Well I talked to Mark, while he seems to be highly recommended his prices seems a little high. I did some searching on here an it seems like a lot of people play around 150 for tints. He quoted me 250. As for the Dalo Glass Tinting they have not emailed me back a quote yet. Maybe 250 is average, what did you all pay?

Are you looking for price or quality? Not necessarily the same.

Both, check out this page, I don't think anyone payed 250 for their tints and they all have good quality.

Yep, that post was from my 1st MINI too I'm on my 3rd MINI as well, which is the vehicle that Mark applied tint too, and I am more than satisfied. Without digging out my receipt, I think $250 sounds about right

We just got done tinting Cathy's new MINI. A basic tint with a high quality product was like $180. That was for the two movable windows and all the way around the back. You have the sunroof done your probably in that $250 range

The latest Mark is offering he calls a 'ceramic' tint. This takes about 30% more UV radiant heat away than standard tint which we had done to her sunroof. Very good stuff. I am going to have my sunroof done with it. It is more expensive.

You *could* do ceramic all the way around. Suppose depends on your sensitivity to light. That would be fairly pricey

I'm sure you could get done cheaper but why? Mark is a artist and you have a string of referrals saying the guy rocks.

I'm inclined to pay a little more to have it done right by someone I know will do it right and stand behind it. There is nothing more cheesy looking than a fading/bad tint job

if you do not get a timely response from someone who you want to get your business to, imagine the response you get when you have a problem.

Quality tint and installation can last up to 10 years. Cheap tint MAY last you 10 months.

You may find it cheaper but you will not get better installation than from Mark.

Here's what happens with bad installation/cheap materials:
