MINI5280 Members - South

Here is a thread you southerners can use to see who else is up in your part of the world. This might come in handy if you want to motor to a club event or just want to hang out together.
Please only those members down around Monument, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and surrounding areas. Keep the chat to a minimum so this thread is more of a reference thread then discussion thread.

Not a member yet, but right on the border of Fountain and Colorado Springs, off of Mesa Ridge Parkway. 2006 Hyper Blue MCS with Flaming Union Jacks on the side, and a 2008 Cooper Pepper White with black roof and graphics, and viper stripes.

I am thinking that we should do a run in your area

as there are some nice, cool, scenic roads. Never have to leave the proximity of Greater Colorado Springs.

We could call it "Run, Black Forest, Run"

I'll see what I can do.

I think we should start a South of Denver club since all of the meetings are up on the north side of Denver

Now that I am an "official" member, I will help with some activities down south. A nice little drive with dinner or lunch in the Springs would be cool (for me at least ).

I will send you some ideas and we can make it happen

Sounds good Seth, let me know what ideas you have and we'll set something up. I know you'll get some participation from up north.

I still love Jonathan's name for a southern ride: "Run, Black Forest, Run!"

I will talk to Joe the Fearless Leader

and score a date. Then, we can do something (literally, in the Black Forest area NE of the Springs to include lunch. I have some ideas too and the roads are nice, hilly, and some curvy. Plus, it is cooler up there and the back roads getting down also help....)

JPS

and the new brakes are fine thank you very much, Bryan....as always, one can count on a MINI friend for the knowledge and expertise to make things right....

Black Forset Run

Great idea, and I can help with planning/hosting, etc. too.

May I suggest including a run on Pike Peak to the top - - nice road, scenic, and for those who have not been to the top and experince doughnuts cooked at 14KFT, well worth the drive.

If some want to come the eve before and relax before the drive, Monica and I can accommodate up to 3 couples or 3 singles.

Southerners: Is anyone planning on attending the Pikes Peak Hill Climb on Sun June 27 to see Savannah Rickli race the SCR Performance MINI to the top?

I wish but I will be out of town that weekend.

It looks like there are some good ideas being thrown around for us Southerners .
