Amplifying OEM rear speakers...?
I'm considering adding an Alpine PDX-4.100 amplifier (4 x 100W) to power Focal 165VR3 fronts and the Mini's OEM rear speakers in a new R55.
Would ~110W blow the Mini's rear speaker, or would it do well with the extra power? If this would damage them, how would you feed them the right amount of power using this amp?

The OEM speakers are very sensitive. You might be able to make it work. I don't know.
I'm wondering how you will connect them to the amp? If you are going to remove the rear panels to get wires to them, might as well swap them out for something halfway decent.

I will have to agree with Robyn on this one.
The rear speakers will need to be rewires as will the fronts to handle the power of the new amp. When doing the wiring you may as well just replace the rear speakers even if they are a inexpensive set they will sound better than the OEM.
And BTW yes you would probably blow the rear speakers with 110w of power.
