5th Annual MINIs In The Mountains - MITM WP 2010

MINI5280 will host this event at the Winter Park Resort near Winter Park, CO.
Dates for the event are Thursday August 12th - Sunday August 15th, 2010.
More details will be forthcoming but at least you can now schedule vacation.
The resort is offering us some very good room rates and will soon be taking reservations. I will post more details once the registration is open.
Soon we will begin updating the event site at www.MINIsInTheMountains.com and this site will be your clearinghouse for all MITM information.

So schedule vacation, prepare for reserving rooms and dream of August in the Colorado Rockies!

The entrance into WP is a hell of a lot more fun than just coming in off of I-70!

+1. It would be fun to go over Berthoud Pass on every run to the Western Dragon or to Mt. Evans, rather than the longer stretch of I-70 with its ever present LEOs. WP also makes RMNP a lot more accessible, and opens up route possibilities on the roads west of Golden and Boulder.

I like this move.

How about a "Midnight Run" over "Berthod Pass".

RLM,

I liked WP being the Friday dinner destination. Will there be another dinner destination or will they all be held at WP?

We met this past weekend with the Winter Park Resort staff and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. As a result we are very near to releasing our details and getting all the info up on our website.
Please stay tuned.

I think this was more of a mutual concept. I will admit to a Guinness but I can't take credit for all of it.
Wouldn't this make for a nice poster?

This is what we thought would make a nice teaser for dealerships right now.

By now I'm sure you have all seen this: http://www.motoringfile.com/2010/02/...comment-298904
So it looks like we'll have to set out a few more place settings and plan on a few more friends joining us for MITM.

MTTS will be in Denver from August 6 - 8 (Friday - Sunday) then people will motor up to Winter Park for MITM from August 12 - 15. This should be a great vacation for MINI owners across the country!

I'm suggesting you book your rooms at Winter Park soon. Be sure to tell them you are with MITM so you get our rates.

See this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...g-options.html

Now that MTTS has picked Friday through Sunday, August 13 - 15, how's that all gonna work? I booked a room in WP, but that was based on thinking MTTS was gonna be the previous weekend. I'm confused! Can somebody turn on the light bulb?

Call up WP and tell them you missed it by one weekend. You want your room for August 12 -15. That way you can take advantage of MITM and MTTS!
Be sure to ask for the MINIs In The Mountains discount.
