Good dealer accessories?

My MINI was supposed to be ready this morning but they didn't complete the pre-delivery inspection yet. So my MA is offering me a freebie from their accessories catalog. I haven't seen it yet, anyone know the kind of stuff that's in there? I was thinking about a car cover.

The glove box organizer is nice also. (about $20). The rubber floor mats are also a must have (easy to clean and look good). Maybe a roof rack. Thats a long shot but good to ask!

Mud Flaps.

Would they spring for the JCW Sport Gauges? You could get a coolant gauge, and a lateral G gauge.

The Boot Box keeps grocery bags in place when cornering. Some people don't like it because it is Nylon cloth over a flexible material. So, not a rigid structure.

The Sun Shade is pretty good if you have to park outside often.

I like the Rubber Floor Mats, if they aren't already giving them to you.

I tried it and returned it. The GoMiniGo.com version is better.

if there's no $ limit I'd go for driving lights!

next up I'd go for any set of floor mats .... OEM ones cost a crazy amount but I'm always a sucker for the OEM ones in any case

I say yes on car cover

You can't go wrong with a good car cover. I only use mine in my garage. It does keep my car cleaner longer.

Don't they give everyone MINI Rubber Floor Mats (front & rear, but not boot)?

'Stage 2' JCW is actually the factory JCW. I think you meant the JCW Tuning Kit.

Nope, I didn't get anything with my R57. But I did talk the price of my Tuning Kit down about $500.

I ended up getting the outdoor car cover which I quite like. Also came w/rubber floor mats and wheel locks.

Careful with the car cover, as if there is dust/dirt on your MINI when you put the cover on, and the wind blows the cover around, it will scratch your paint.

Depending on how generous you think they are...

Floormats are a must, the rubber ones are great for winter (boot included, it stays in mine all year).

My dealer goodwilled me the JCW gauges - I got coolant and relative torque. I drove an R57 with the lateral G gauge and it confirmed my thinking that it was cool, but an easy way to crash your car. The needle doesn't hang high for very long so you have to look down right away on corner exit. Or be looking at it in a corner, trying to pull more G's... crash.

I'm not impressed with the stock driving lights, but for free... they do come with the cool MINI covers.

The absolutely most awesome floor mats money can buy right now are the coco mats from cocomats.com. Beware of cheap imitations, the difference in quality is staggering. The ones from cocomats.com are the real deal. And look AWESOME and right at home in a Mini.

'G' Meter Memory

What a shame!

An aviation 'G' Meter has three needles, a center one for 'right-now' and 'Max-Positive' and Max-Negative' needles that remain at the maximum readings.

A push of a button centers all three again, but you don't need to stare at the gauge to know what load-factor was experienced.
