M7 Aerogel Heat Hield

I am considering installing the aerogel heat shield on my '09 MCS and was wondering how well it works. I have seen some older post of the pro and cons, a lot of it conjecture or personal opinions. It's been out for a couple years, are you having problems with heat soak or poor air flow?

I have had one for about 16 months. Not ready sure it does all that much for the car but it is really hard to quantify. The good thing is that I do not burn my fingers anymore.

Did you see the one by NM Eng? Looks very interesting. Made of Titanium? And only about $150. Not sure what it does as well.

The NM engineering shield is nice looking. It has, in my opinion, a better mounting (read sturdy) scheme than the M7. Now if I could only talk myself into loosening a turbo housing bolt for the sake of bling, I would buy one.

The NM heat shield looks just as bad as the OEM one. Yuck.
