So few MINI's in this part of the country too. And that scarcity makes ours kinda special... but seeing all those MINI's, it's like knowing there's this "Mother Planet" for MINI's out there, somewhere... I am at the edge of a greater universe... one day we must return...

God speed.

Thanks for sharing the impressive pics! I also live far from the nearest dealer and it is a rare but sweet occasion to come across someone else driving a Mini, so the photos were, indeed, impressive.

yeah, fabulous pics aren't they? Baron MINI is where I bought my MCS - located in Kansas City....yes, KANSAS! Who would have tought

I then drove it out to Scottsdale as soon as I bought it...what a fun drive

I'll see if I can get more pics.

Still nobody from the KC area went to this and isn't on MCO? I find that really hard to believe.

haf

Ok, I was there. There's another thread here somewhere about the event. There were close to 150 MINIs there. I didn't hear a final count, but I know there were 135 counted shortly after my arrival and they were still coming in. My pics can be viewed here http://homepage.mac.com/dmpproductio...toAlbum37.html and the local MINI club site has links to a couple of other galleries here http://derby.kcminiacs.org/

We had a police escort through the streets of Kansas City on our way to the Charity event where Baron MINI was a main sponsor. I know that MINIs are capable of stopping traffic, but we literally stopped traffic long enough for 150 MINIs to parade through the city. It's was pretty dang cool.

BTW, that's my car in the second picture on this thread - the Chili Red S with boot stripes and a full UJ on the lid.

That event was a blast! BaronMINI had brunch for us, they had discounts on Mortoring Gear, and Goodie bags. They gave away some gift certificates. A represenitive from MINIUSA also came. We also got a professional group photo in from of Union Station.

Here's the group photo. We did some rough estimating and if you assume that each MINI took up roughly 20 feet of linear space (car + buffer), that's over a 3000 foot long unbroken line of MINIs. The line was unbroken due to the nine motorcycle police escort we had.
