2010 JWC Order

I have entered a few other posts about my Pepper white JCW on order from Long Beach Mini in Ca. The car was ordered on 8-2-09. We just added smart phone to the order this past Tuesday. I have been to the owners lounge and entered my production # ect. What is ASK-MINI, and how do I use it? Is it a part of the Mini USA web site or a phone service?
I know the Lounge is slow on updates. I am hoping my car will start the build process soon!!
Ron

Congrats Ron!

I too have a JCW (CR/W) on order (ordered 8/1/09) and was given an order number and a #41 build week by my MA. In the interim I have contacted MINI by phone at 1-866-ASK-MINI, and was told by the rep there that my build week is #39 now.

I guess that I've been moved up slightly and that's a good thing as my waiting time has been reduced!

I'm getting closer to that magical time when I will logon to the MINI owners lounge and get a VIN and the message that my baby has started production! WOOT!

Sabre,
I just called and asked about my order # (they are closed now) The automated system said I am on order with no production date! I will call back on Monday and talk to live person. It seems like every one around my order date is in production or has a firm date. By the way what Mini magazine is the best one to subscribe with.
Thanks,
Ron

Well Ron did you get a build week yet from MINI? Hope they were able to give you some definite info!

It is really terrible being left in the dark without a clue as to when your MINI will be built.

As far as MINI mags go, I really couldn't say... perhaps a fellow NAMer could offer some advice!

I hear that. Mine is built and now I'm waiting for shipping. I check every day to see if owners lounge updates. I will call on Friday if no updates but time is moving slow att

Hey Ron that's great news!

Now at least you have a target date upon which you can focus, but the trick will be getting through the intervening time period without losing your sanity.

At least they gave you a definite time period. My MA still tells me that I have a week 41 build while the folks at MINI (866-ASK-MINI) still insist that I am a week 39 build... So what's a boy to do and who do you believe?

I suppose that it is all an excecise in faith... So, chin-up mate, time will fly by faster than you can imagine and your MINI will soon at your dealer ready & waiting for you!

Maybe we should start a Week 41 Support Group (or in my case a Week 39/41 or Whenever We Get Around To You Support Group )

Sarbe,
Thanks for the kind words, I hope things go quickly for you two. For now I am reading every thing I can get my hands on,and looking at all the after market parts in the market place.

Congrats I was able to pick up more info on the WW website as to when it's loaded and unloaded, they give you the time it gets on and off the ship. just plug your vin in the cargo ID and search. http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/

Try this http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/

Safari doesn't work if you have a Mac but Firefox does. My car doesn't show up but it may be shipping with another line.

Good luck with yours...

WOOT! WOOT!

I just checked the MINI website (owners lounge) and was notified that I now have a VIN # assigned to my 2010 JCW and that it's scheduled for production!

I was originally told that I had a week 41 build but it must have been bumped up to week #39!

I'm now that much closer to getting my MINI but time has never gone by so slowly...
