R56 MIni S Dealer Discounts
MIni S Dealer Discounts
Looking to buy a new Mini S Coupe and am wondering what kind of discounts people have been able to negotiate recently as we get to the end of the model year and end of summer? Not sure if it is worth buying now or waiting until the 2010 models come out. My local dealer wants to give me a discount of $1100 off sticker price which doesnt seem that great considering it is at the end of the model year.
Any and all comments appreciated. Jim

I take it this car is dealer stock? I'd haggle down another $400, and if they bite, go for it!
As far as waiting for the 2010s, well, y'll have to order one, and you will pay top $$ with very little discounting, if any. I got $250 off msrp for my ordered 2009, but Im a repeat customer.
So, general rule: lot stock = discounts possible, ordered = not so likely

what he said.
I just got $750 off and no hidden dealer fee. Dealer still has about $2g's in the deal, they are not going out of business........

I'd take that deal in a heart beat!
MSRP+$595 dealer monopoly fee here on Cooper S (+$400 for justacooper). No negotiating on a $30,000+ Mini. No discount on accessories. My MA (great guy BTW) said the owner said he wasn't making any money in this economy, yet he "won the bid" to build only the second mini dealer in Washington. Riiight...
Thank you Morristown Mini! I just spent $1600+ on accessories there (20% off discount)

which dealer?
Was this for one off the lot or an order?
well... i got mine at long beach mini in california... ( i was able to pay 8.75% sales tax because i'm orange county resident)
they threw me free wheel locks and my MA wanted to give me free floor mats but he wanted $3 more on monthly payment ( 5 yr finance) so i paid floor mats seperate and i got 10% discount on floor mats ! but now i'm thinking i should have gotten cosmopolitan floor mat or JCW checker floor mats... they look nicer than regular mini floor mats
