Helix SSK

The instructions refer to a an earlier model. In an R56, remove the DownPipe to exhaust T-bolt clamp to drop the exhaust. You'll also need to slip the rubber exhaust mounts off the hangers rather than unbolt them.

SSK Install

Apply a soap solution to the hangars, unbolt the T-bolt and disconnect the DP to exhaust before you manipulate them. The clamp/T-bolt often sticks after loosening the T-bolt, you may need to pry the clamp ends apart. Also, place a towel on top of the exhaust tips so that when you lower the exhaust there is some padding between the tips and the rear body panel when they touch. I recommend limiting how far you lower the exhaust to avoid damage to the plastic body panel. Provided you don't force the disconnected pipe downwards this should not be a problem.
