I had a shopping cart attack my mini on a very windy day. I parked in my normal very far away parking spot and I walked out to find that someone had not put their cart away and it got blown acrossed the parking lot. It got a chance to build some speed and put a dent in the rear hatch about fist size in diameter and about 1/2" deep. I was upset! I went to my body shop and he recommended a PDR guy he has used for hail damage. Great experience. The job was done very well and quickly. Cost me about $75 vs. over $400 to repaint. Please note these guys are real artist and can do some amazing work, but they can't do everything. I will be back with all my cars for this these type of door dings.

The problem with the lower portion of the mini door is it has a tar like sound deadening material on it which makes it much harder for PDR technicians to remove dents.

I had a 2" dent from a tree branch that I ran over in winter, they were able to remove about 95% of the dent, but it was not 'perfect' due to the sound deadening, he also did not charge me for it because of this.

However a small dent in the rear 1/4 from a door came out no problem!

I have used PDR on many cars and had great results.
As the above posters have said PDR can't get everything. I depends on the location and the damage. However on our mini van a local place fixed a softball size dent caused by my daughter hitting a mail box. It is still noticeable by me because I know where to look but for $100 I am very happy.

I've used PDR in the past and was very happy. You have to make sure they don't drill for access because they are too lazy to remove door panels etc. Here's a small article.

I've used PDR to remove a softball size dent below my headlight.
I was amazed at his work.
If your paint isn't damaged it's the way to go.

It is a great way to repair a ding, very low impact for the wallet and the car.
