I just got my tint (20%) yesterday. The installer said to give it a 10-20 days to settle and the BUBBLEs to go away. Will the bubbles go away? My friends tell me there aren't supposed to be bubbles. Please help. There is also a few scratch-looking bubbles due to the installer's fault. Should I take my car back and get him to replace that film of tint?

Who did you use and what type of tint material was used?

give it a week, it should be ok. If not, they should redo the tint on those panes.

I had to have my passenger side door tinted a second time, because of installation issues the first time through. It wasn't a big deal and it was taken care of without incident.

Most of the time the bubbles go away. If not, they get to redo it.

Just follow his instructions and wait a week and enjoy the tint. Should be OK. If not then take it back.

I got my MINI back without any bubbles in the tint at all (20%). If they said give it a week, I would do that, but I wouldn't hold out that long.

If you have any scratches or wrinkles, DEFINITELY have them redo it. It is an easy enough thing for them to do.

Whenever we have had our cars tinted, we have never had any bubbles at all. Could it be whoever's installing your tint? I have never heard of that before... usually, we just bring our cars back like 3 days later.. and they check to make sure everything's ok. BTW, just out of curiosity, do these tint shops have to remove the entire inner door panel? Just curious...I'm thinking of looking around to see which places have experience tinting minis. Thanks..

My installer told me not to roll down the windows for a couple of days. The tint looks great and never did see any bubbles.
