Square On Rear Bumper Popping Off?
Anybody know what this is, or why mine keeps popping off and hanging there on the right side, rear bumper on my one-week-old MCS?

That's the cover for the tow hook hole. The tow hook is in your tool kit in the boot.

Don't listen to the last guy, he does not know what he is talking about.
Its your multi-purpose tactical hole.
There is a little switch box under the shifter ****, yellow is oil slick, red is tire spikes, and blue is smoke.
Use them wisely.......

:-)
I assume the cover isn't supposed to frequently pop off of its own accord and hang there like that?

The cover has four tabs. Bend them a little outward and it should not fall off anymore.

I had the same problem. The fix... replace the cover. Should be covered under warranty.

DAMN. Good thing I read this!
For the yahoos on cellphones who tailgate me, I was gonna go buy the AFTERMARKET "Sidewinder-missle-package"
to mount there ... I can afford that new rear-sway-bar, now!

Thanks. I've tried bending one of the other tabs (I only have two) and I'll see if that holds it until I get back to the dealer.

I think if you wash your MINI it will stay on better. The MINI is so dirty it is trying to get away.

He is following the MINI Field Guide, which specifies that a clean MINI is a bad MINI. His after just one week is already showing it has life.
Mine unfortunately also is a disappointment to the field guide as she has a hard time staying dirty.
