Unlocking from inside/sunroof problem

2008 Mini
Having problems trying to figure out how to just pull door lock from inside only 1x to open- how can I program this to only open after one pull.
Sunroof- Dealer has already performed tech update and sunroof will still no open on a hot sunny day.

You can't program that--it's mechanical. Most European cars are that way. You can, however, program the car to not lock the doors once you're moving. It says in the manual somewhere how to set that.

Sunroof--be persistent. Most people have success (eventually) at some point. Mine was solved after readjustment and lubrication, but others have require cassette replacements.

I had programmed the doors to automatically lock. When I get tired of doing the double door pull I just hit the door unlock button in the center console and then open the door. I think you do eventually get used to this quirk.

Page 23 of the M in RTFM... for your computer locking adjustment. Set it to OFF and enjoy single pull door opening, sans the autolock feature.

Gluck!

Having only had my 08 for a few months I am no expert but I am not sure that you are unable to change the door 2 pull feature, here is why...with my key fob ...the one I got when I purchased the car (the other was missing) it required the 2 door pull. The I purchased another key (expensive) for hubby which I have been using...guess what only one door pull required.

I too am having the sunroof issue, I will be calling Mini soon.

Each key fob can be set up differently. Your Husband can change all the stations on the radio, the A/C temp(if you have auto A/C) and all the little things in the computer. If you use your key fob it will change everthing back to what you had it set. Then inturn if he gets back in with his key it will change back to his likes.

Thanks for the info, my poor hubby has not gotten to drive his Mini yet because he is in Iraq when he return on R&R in November I will have him help me program each key fob.
