Anyone interested in a Saturday trip to St. Louis? Seems to fill a little soft spot in our schedule, as far as drives are concerned.
Post up if you have an interest...we'll see if we can drum up some EIM participation.
acebutt, this is practically in your backyard...

I'm thinking strongly about doing this too. I have family I can stop and visit all along the way so I can make good use of the trip down.
Judging from the St. Louis MINIs thread, it looks like this will be a well-attended event...and a lot of fun!

My plans aren't firm yet, but I suspect I would stop over at my mom's in Washington on Friday evening, then leave early enough on Saturday morning to arrive in St. Louis, make a quick stop at a local car wash, and show up at the meet-up point at 10:00.
It would be a pretty early start to the day but hey, I'm a morning person.

This year’s Balducci Winery Run is an event you won’t want to miss. We have planned a new route that will take you on some roads you have never been on and will keep your car zinging and zaging thru the beautiful Missouri countryside.
Once at the winery we will have reserved parking and a covered picnic area. A coupon for 50% off your first bottle of wine. There will be window stickers, and door prizes and a raffle to benefit BACKSTOPPERS. This years raffle will be the biggest yet. We will be raffling of items from Detail’s Paradise, Mini of Saint Louis, Out Motoring, Mini Fini, Mini Mania, American Mini Mates, Whalen Shift Machine, and many more. Just think, you could win a Mini Garman GPS, a Dinan strut tower brace, a MINI-Fini key rack, a Whalen 50th anniversary shift ****, t-shirts, car care products, a cuckoo clock, travel mugs, and too many items to list here. You won’t be disappointed that’s for sure.
There will be a prize for the longest distance traveled to get to the event
A prize for the car with the most mileage.
The event will start at Fru Con Construction Headquarters, located on the north west corner of Clayton and Clarkson Roads. Just set your GPS for 15933 Clayton Road, Ballwin, MO 63022. This event is rain or shine, the drivers meeting will be at 10:00 AMThis event should not be missed, have a lot of fun, come home with some wonderful gifts, and help a very worthy cause.
Please let us know if you are attending, to help us with our planning. Reply to newsletter@stlmini.com
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.
So deanman and D3m0N...are you guys still in?
I saw Miah's post in the StL forum; he's heading down Friday. I'm spending the night in Washington and plan to arrive at a self-serve car wash (it's the MOCD
) about a mile from the rendezvous at approximately 9 am.
Any other EIMers out there? Looks like a really fun day, and the wx forecast couldn't be better.
(Oh, and it's 329 miles from my front door to Balducci's -- that's further than KC, Indianapolis, Chicago, Memphis, and Nashville...ya know, I just might compete for the longest distance traveled...

Balducci Run 2009 Final Report
We hope everyone had a good time at the Balducci Winery Run, the final count on cars was 64, and the final count on money raised for BACKSTOPPERS was $1600.00. Wow, what an outstanding show of support for this worthwhile organization. (this amount will be matched by an anonymous donor)
We want to thank everyone who came from all over the Midwest: Chicago, Omaha, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Eastern Iowa, and the Saint Louis Area. What a great turn out, we hope to see you all next year, if not sooner.
We would also like to thank the following contributors who donated items to be raffled off: American Mini Mates, Detailers Paradise, Mini Fini, Mini Mania, Mini of Saint Louis, Out Motoring, Sugo’s Spaghettera Restaurant, Rex Baumgartner, Mike Gleason, Becky & Dan Huebner, Lois & Mark McSwain, Linda & Steve Wiedman, and last but not least, Mother Nature. These nice people made it happen, keep these vendors in mind when you want to do something nice for your car, and thank the individuals the next time you see them.
All in all, it was a fantastic day, thanks to everyone who participated.
Cheers,
