~ ~ New Tires for Miles ~ ~

Well I need a little advise on some tires for my MINI. I've had some Goodyear F1 all seasons for about 13,000 miles and they are the noisiest things I've ever experienced. Like runnin a bighorn on the freeway and at 40-50 you might turn the volume on the radio up.
Surprisingly I contacted Goodyear and they are going to give me full credit on them. They are 205 45/17. The only choices I have are either Goodyear or Dunlop for an even swop or pay the difference if I pick something more expensive.
I've been on tirerack for hours looking and reading reviews on everything. Every tire has some that like and others dislike. AHH H!!!! I am going to go with a 215 45/17 this time around as I've read some good about making that change. Maybe it will correct my speedo a few mph. reads 5 mph fast.
Well any suggestions from the crowd? I'm even thinking of going back with the same tire and the different size to see if that helps

HELP ME

Try the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, a bit $$$ but they look like they will last and not tramline on some of our highways.

Your forgeting. Goodyear is giving me warranty credit 100% BUT I have to buy a Goodyear product. i.e. Goodyear, Dunlop those are my choices. I don't particularly want ultra HP summer as it snow here in Oklahoma in the winter.

I am no help on the tire but the size is about perfect on my car (YMMV).
I have 215-45/17 and with GPS I am within 1 MPH of actual speed. No rubbing or other problems.

There isn't much to pick from in 205/45/17. Goodyear Eagle GT does come in that size. The link will work when the 205's are back in stock.

215/45/17 I'd look at the same Goodyear Eagle GT or the
Dunlop Sport Signature

Thanks Alex,
The GT is one I was looking at. I was trying to find something priced same as or close to the F1 All Season for an even exchange but I'll give the GT's a try.
