Tried to remove the lover speaker grill.

Any help is appreciated. I have a 2009 Mini and I have replaced some of the trim with chrome. All went well until I got to the lower speakers. I tried to pry the cover off but it seems to be really tight. Is there a trick to getting them off.
Thanks so much!

They might be attached with plastic melt rivets like they are in the first gen cars.
