I accidentally spilled gasoline on the black plastic wheel arches below my gas filler, and before I could wipe it up, it left a white streaking discoloration on half my arch!!! Grrrr, but I found out a solution. The MINI Plastic Care
# 83-12-0-142-624 restored the matte black finish!!! I was so happy, I used it on all black trim pieces to make it look new again.

Good work. Wax can also turn the plastic white due to dried residue. Try an artists' white eraser or peanut oil to remove it.

I like Zaino Perfect tire gloss treatment 16 for my vinyl wheel arches and anything rubber or vinyl inside and out.
Works good and lasts for weeks.

Keep that gasoline off the plastic!

Where do you get all the information for MINI products like this plastic care with part #? From the dealer only, or is there a handook that comes with a secret handshake when your MINI is actually delivered?
I'm still waiting for production- then delivery

>>Thanks for the tip. I read somewhere on the forums that Peanut Butter was used. Sounds far fetched to me, but I'll keep that in mind. Hey I thought putting a hard drive in the freezer to recover data was far fetched, but I tried it and it worked!
