R50/53 Anyone know what the open ended wire in my glovebox is?
Photo is a bit blurry but looks like the the AUX INPUT adapter that MINI offers as a dealer accessory. That is the recommended location for the input end as per the MINI instructions. The kit comes with a little metal plate that covers the hole cut in the side of your glovebox and finished it better, but otherwise your aux input should be functional as is.
Try cycling through the sources (i.e., CD/radio) on your stereo and you should see AUX come up on the screen. Better yet, plug an ipod into it (from the headphone jack).

Yo Skinny did you plug your iPod in there yet??

Here is a clearer picture, not sure you can plug anything in?
It looks like its missing a part. What part is it and where is the best place to buy it?
