I have an 09 Astro Black, any others out there? I also have the painted aero kit.

 

I thought Mini stopped offering Astro Black for the 09's. I have an '08 in AB. I'll be getting the aero kit or an aftermarket one at some point.

 

I have an 07 MCS R56 Astro Black with white top. Great little car!

 

My 09 is Astro Black.

 

My dealer made some inference that he color was discontinued and this 09 may be a rarity? I'm trying to figure it out

 

Do you have any pictures of your car? I'd like to see the aero kit in astro black.

 

'Astro' was born last June ('08) for me.....love the color. Your paint code is on the vehicle....check it. Astro was not offered for '09, but perhaps something happened with a late '08 production and it just showed up (?).

 

I have an '09 Astro Black as well. If you ordered before Sept/Oct '08 then that was the black mini offered at the time. So there may not be too many of us : ) I picked mine up on Dec 15th '08.

If you ordered an 09 in late 08 I think you could get AB. I know someone was picking up an 09 JCW in July of lats year when i was picking up my 08 and his was AB.

 

i'm getting a demo '09 MINI JCW next week and it is Astro black. i love the color. it has about 1400 miles on it. i believe the dealer here got it in at the beginning of the year...

I have an Astro black MINI and I'll never ever buy another black car. Black looks nice but it's just way too hot in Florida for a black car.

 

tag....in NC it gets quite hot too....but I've noticed that without sunroof, and with a white top, the Cooper gets the least hot of all my cars. Do you have a sunroof? White top?

 

My MINI is solid black with out the sunroof. I think a white roof would make a big difference in heat inside the car.

 

I am looking at an '09 Astro Black with AB roof on the lot at my local dealership. They have it listed as new, but I am not sure. Could it really have been sitting on the lot for 9 months?

 

What seems to be the problem? There are plenty of 09 cars on the dealer lots..

 

My point is that the since the model is rare as an '09, and hasn't been produced since late '08, are they trying to pass off a demo as new? For a company that prides itself on limited production and availability, how likely is it that a car would sit on the lot for that long?
Don't get me wrong, I like the car. I just want a new one, not a demo or used.
