Exhaust Help.

Hey guys, I need your help again.. I'm in the process of putting my short shifter in, and I need to take the exhaust system off. I haven't had a problem taking any of it off until I got to this part. Can someone tell me how the heck I get this off without breaking anything?? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

pick one side or the other. I usually do the black side. It is slicker. You can insert a small screwdriver in the hole to help remove it. Be careful though they can rip. There should be a total of 4 you have to remove 2 in the middle and 2 at the rear. The 2 at the rear have a fabric reinforcement that can be slid to the side to give you a little more wiggle room.

Hit the rubber hanger with a good spray lube, use a screwdriver with a long handle to pry it off.

If your MINI is newer, should not be a problem, did this on my 07 a few weeks ago, on and off no problem.

Awesome, thanks guys! I never got a chance to try it yesterday, planning on doing it a little later today. Mine's an '08, hopefully I won't have too much trouble.

yeah, i had a ton of trouble with that when i installed the shifter as well. ended up looking around online and found out that a few spurts of silicon lube will let that sucker slide off fairly easily.
