Help: Question for Kappasphere (Proper ECU Tune) Announcement

I think a few folks have seen the announcement in the vendor area, so I'm going to start this thread.

Reason for starting the thread is to get a Q & A going with Kappasphere on the announcement. Their thread/announcement is locked and does not allow for questions.

So here you go. Orig. Announcement

So, I want to know, what is a 'proper ecu tune'? Does your partner/associated vendor have experience with the R56 MINI, race background, backup shop for the Southern California MINI Dealers, etc?

From you posting, it appears your going for an OEM level tune, does this mean your going to work with BMW Corporate to get your tune certified and covered with warranty?

A couple starter questions, I find this announcement a bit vague and really want more in depth information.

Don

I think it was one of those "we are going to be doing it" announcement ads.

Which means? Really if they have detail, they should post detail.

If they are looking to gauge the market, come right out and say it.

I own a 'kappa' car- Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky- and I thought they were 'kappa' specific.

I guess you can check them out on the Solstice or Sky forums. hmmmmmm...

Sounds like mind share. Just to say we are still here and working on stuff.

If you look at the annoucement, they did not ask about customer expectations or try to gauge market reaction with some specs.

You could be right.

I used to buy from them under Sector111 where they have lots of products. But they seem a little half hearted in this market.

I would suspect that this thread slipped right by the folks at Kappa.

Nothing but air!

Some vendors are just not on NAM.

While others can be just so pushy with "in your face" sales.
