Factory vs Dealer Installed Ipod Adapter
I just recently purchased a 2009 Mini Cooper. So far I have been very happy with the purchase. The only disappointment that I have is with the Ipod adapter. I purchased the car off the lot and had the dealer install the Ipod adapter rather then order it with the factory installed connection. The thing that is disappointing is that the delaer Ipod adapter will only display 255 Albums, Artists, Songs, etc. I mean I have over 14000 songs on my Ipod, 255 is not enough. What I am wondering is if the factory installed connection does the same thing?Does anybody know of a way to get around this limitation?
For the 2nd gen, the only factory adapter is the USB/Bluetooth option that connects an iPod through a Y cable. I believe it also has the 255 count limitation. The mObridge aftermarket adapter is claimed to run faster and have no 255 limitation, but is very expensive: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...6-57-mini.html
