Has anyone posted a JCW dyno graph with RMW tune?

So I've asked before and searched recently but can't find any....

Has anyone posted an R56 JCW dyno graph with a RMW tune on it? I'm going in less than 2 weeks to Kentucky with my '09 JCW to get tuned. Other than hot tube, DDM intake, Forge intercooler, Exhaust Depot downpipe and Exhaust Depot full exhaust, I'd like to see what Jan can do with this combo.

But I haven't seen any JCW tunes yet...

Anyone?

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,

I was hoping MM would put up a dyno sheet from his Hawaii tuner. But no go so far!

Did a JCW get dyno'd out east? I think one was dyno'd partially out west.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a 'hot tube'?

Possibly a good idea to be able to swap your JCW exhaust back and forth with the ED. I suspect the ED might be louder.

He's only done 1 last time I asked him...and even that was before he had the latest addition of maps he has now.

Trust me though, you will love it, love it, love it....and it will be worth your long drive and money, no question.

Annnd, to be honest...I'd recommend keeping your JCW intake. It honestly will prob have better results than the aftermarket open-filter ones. I'd try to get my hands on a JCW intake for my car, but I just love the turbo noises too much to switch.

No doubt in my mind I'll love it. I was just curious as I have yet to see any dyno maps. I'm curious if Jan is pulling what he's pulling out of an MCS what a JCW would get.... more, I'd think (hopefully)

By the time I get to see Jan, I'll have the full exhaust with downpipe and intercooler. Hopefully it will pull some good numbers.

I haven't made it to the dyno yet. =( lack of time and money..

Someone did post numbers from the uk showing 313lbs torque at the crank (p-torque). Who knows what drivetrain loss factor they used though.

MM, Nothing bad meant, your our only other source for a tune and a dyno sheet.

When your budget recovers or when the wife is out of town, whichever occurs first.

Well I just scheduled a dyno for tomorrow at noon. I won't be doing any tuning or map changing at the dyno - just getting a graph to know what I'm at right now.

Currently completely stock except for the mild tune.

Hopefully the boss here at work lets me leave for a couple hours.

How did you get an ECU tune without dynoing the car?

blind mild tune. advanced timing and boost a little.

noticeable difference without any bad side effects, but probably no where near max power.

edit:

well one side effect - the sport button makes the throttle much too sensitive for town driving now.

Sweet! This is just what I want. Hell, I would probably buy just a throttle response tune if it were cheap enough.

Thanks for that tasty tidbit, I really have been waiting for someone to say that. Anybody here with the RMW notice a lot better throttle response?

Yup. I find myself driving in non-sport all the time now, where as before I'd never drive with sport off, cuz the car felt like a dog.

Sport is a tasty treat now, when I'm feelin' frisky. And non-sport is actually driveable now...wow!

Sidenote...the extreme touchiness of MotorMouth's sport button will be alleviated after he gets a full tune I'm pretty sure. Mine is in no way "touchy"...but there is definitely a huge increase in response.

I'm not sure how well it works, but this sounds like something you might be really interested in:

Guys, other than changing the steering, what does the sport button do? I know in my auto, hitting the sport button dropped ya down a gear basically. Does it do anything other than tighten up the steering in a stick?

(goes to show you the only time I use it is at the track or in the twisties...)

in a stick shift car the sport button makes the steering a little stiffer and makes the throttle much more sensitive.

it's not quite what you want. it's TOO sensitive. while starting off, give over 1/8" of throttle movement and everyone around thinks you're are driving like a teenage jerk and your wife starts yelling at you. Sport button off feels like sport button on used to.

30 minutes before my appointment I got a call from the dyno saying they are still working on a car and can't dyno me until 5pm (4 hours from now). Hopefully no more delays.

I figure 99.5% of the people on this board aren't in the same time zone as me.. that's why I mentioned the 4 hour thingy so people could look at the time stamp of the post and figure it out (3 hours from this post is 5 pm here)

Here we are about 6 hours later and...

ta-dum!

211hp/217torque atw.

fuel read (very) safely rich even though it was a tail-pipe sniffer which usually reads leaner than it is when you have two cats.
Not bad for a blind mild tune. dyno to follow.

BTW The JCW exhaust sounds pretty mean and loud at WOT in a fairly small enclosed shop. Especially above 4krpm.
