thinking of trading my s2000 for a cooper s. (nj local)
Testing waters here.
I've been looking for a change. I love my s2000, but my ADD has kicked in, and its time to consider a trade. I've been considering a cooper s.
I am hoping if I post here, I can get some responses/feedback.
My car is a 2005 S2000.
-Mileage is ~70,000. Mostly highway commute 150 miles round trip to school. Central NJ to South NJ (exit 98 to 44)
-Car has minor dings, 2 small ones on fender from car doors.
-Hardtop is Mugen style, carbon fiber. Tinted rear window.
-Soft top is on the car, but slashed. Someone needed my ipod that badly. New one is $1000. I can install.
-Color is Silverstone Metallic. (darker of the two silvers) Interior is black and red, with silver center door. Red carpet, black floor mats.
-Wheels are OEM, painted black.
-Front bumper is a 2000-2003 OEM. I did this after replacing my original bumper after purchasing the car. The original owner accumulated quite a bit of stone chips and curb stop scrapes.
-All maintenance is typical. 5000-ish mobil 1 oil changes, brakes, filters, rear diff fluids, tranny fluids, all done by the book with OEM or better parts.
-New-ish (8k miles) tires are federal 595ss. I LOVE them, and prefer them over the Potenzas. (call me crazy)
-Car has been to a track once in it's life, the weekend i got it. 13.9 @ 101. Cool.
-Clutch has never been dumped by myself. (can't say for original owner, who put the first 16k miles on the car) I know very much about the car, and the rear ends. If you beat the **** out of them, they break. There is no need to dump the clutch in an s2000. If you've ever driven one, you understand.
Image (btw, lowered in photoshop):

I am looking for a Cooper S, Preferably Black, 2005+
I'm still reading about all the features and such, so I can't say any more specifics of what i'm looking for.
If nothing else, anyone wanna meet up and let me poke around their mini? :D
