Some good from hail damage

Two weeks ago my poor baby got nailed 5 times by golfball sized hail. 2 on the roof, 2 on the passenger door and one on the hood.
State Farm covered it completely without issues.

Globalmini in Atlanta did a great job for me like always. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone. they have treated me great every time I have had to get any work done.

SO 5 dents removed by dent wizard, never know they were there.
Got the Mini Spa detailing package, car looks like the day I bougt it inside and out.
All maintenance at 15k miles done: break fluids, oil fluids filters ALL covered, and a defectice run flat replaced.
Paid for the rotation and balance on the tires.

Swear the little bugger is driving like the day I got it. Damn squeeled the breaks stopping it grabbed like it did the first day when I was getting used to them.

So almost 2 yours now. Still NO COMPLAINTS, and I would still recommend a Mini Cooper S to anyone.

Wonder if they plan on getting a hybrid :D

So TWO Thumbs up for Mini Cooper and Global Imports Mini.

I live in fear of being on the road and driving during a hail storm. We had a bad one last year in the summer. I was doing dishes when it started. I was soooo freaked out I grabbed the duvet off my bed and ran outside with it and put it on top my car.

I am pretty sure I was screaming and hooting like a wild man the entire time.

Happy your MINI is safe and giving you tons of driver satisfaction!

I got a bit of hail damage this past week on my barely 1 month old Mini. I was at work when a freak hailstorm came up, pelting my car. I was not happy.

I drove my Mini to the car wash behind my house (the day before yesterday) when more storms came in and hid it in one of the bays. That might be where it resides tonight since the radar shows more thunderstorms coming my way...

I never thought to grab the duvet off the bed to protect the roof! Now I'm eyeing my down comforter....

The car wash bay was a great idea! During our hail storm the power was out for about an hour. I realized I could not put my car in the garage fast enough because no electricity means no garage door opener, and to manually open it I would have had to back my car up and away from the garage, then go inside and open it manually, then get back in the car and drive it in. It would have taken too long. I just grabbed the biggest soft fluffy thing I could find. King Sized Ikea Duvet!

Environmental damage scares me cuz I never know how an insurance company would handle something like that. Act of God?

Don't laugh, I did put a comforter on my little baby.
It still didn't help :(
Guess I wasn't fast enough or the hail was coming down harder than the comforter could stop.

You can see the hail stones all over it. Next time if there is even a small possibility I will put that on. not waiting until I hear the damn things pinging off my car.

Wifes Titan got really hit hard too, about $700 in damage. House took it worse, $10,000 and the whole roof has to be replaced. Thank FSM for home owners insurance.

It's so windy here in Oklahoma that I think I'd have to stand outside and hold the duvet over the car in the storm. The duvet would just blow into the next county otherwise!
